The incoming Secretary to Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (IBLCDA), Alhaji Kudus Oduntan, has said that his primary assignment is to join hands with the Executive Chairman, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun in moving the council forward and make it better than the present administration met it.
Alhaji Oduntan will on Monday be inaugurated along with Supervisors and Special Advisers that were nominated and screened on Thursday and Friday by the Council’s Legislative Arm. He spoke with THE IMPACT after his screening at the Legislative Chamber within the IBLCDA secretariat.
“Going in for the interview is more or less a family interaction. I was only asked about my credentials, documents, membership card and voter’s card to show that you’re a member of the party and what you will add to the council if you’re given the opportunity to serve. So, these are the questions that were asked. It was a family discussion.

“It was very fantastic and interesting. I am proud of the honourable councillors. They did wonderfully well.
“I have been cleared and after my inauguration as the SLG, the next thing is how we are going to move the council forward than what we met. At least those that left have done their best and we are going to complement that best so that we can make it better.”
He pledged to maintain a cordial relationship with the Chairman, members of the Executive and Honourable Councillors for smooth running of the council.

“The first thing they (people) should be expecting is a good relationship between the chairman and my office, because people do say the secretary is the life wire of any organisation. Therefore, there must be a cordial relationship between the chairman and my office so that this council can move forward and also, as secretary I must also ensure that the office of the chairman and the council legislative arm also have a good relationship.
“We will also make sure that the records of the council are well kept and use such to guide us in further development,” Alhaji Oduntan said.
